Best Gaming Processors : $150-$200 Budget : January 2010
In my previous post, i have write about Best Gaming Processor with $110 – $150 budgets. Now, it’s time to discuss the higher budgets, best gaming processor for $150-$200. Actually that’s big enough budgets, ( i need more than a month to get it all ^_^ ). May be processor with this budget can be called high-end processor, but there are other processors with higher prices. There are some processors that recommended for gaming and overclocking computing, there are 3 chipsets that most widely used for this processor budget (LGA 1156, LGA 775, and AM3 Chipset).
Below some processor that recommended for this budget :
Intel Core i3 540
The Core i3 540 is one of the new core i3 Intel Processor. Based on this specification, it’s look promising to reach good overclocking performances. There are some report that this processor give much better performances than the Core i3 530. The higher multiplier will make overclocking fans challenged to overclock this processor and get the much better results.

Once again AMD Black Edition series mentioned here, with 3.2 GHz clock speed, 6 MB L3 Cache, 4,000 MHz HyperTransport, and four CPU cores, this processor actually have show the good performances in normal condition, but that’s not the point, with overclocking we can get more and more performance. This processor is one of the most wanted by overclockers, the unlocked multiplier will make they easy to overclock this processor. Many report tell that this processor give fantastic overclocking results.

After previously AMD Black Edition Family mentioned, now once again the AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition. There are new version of The 965, that’s new C3 Stepping that more overclocking-friendly. This new version also more efficient-energy, this new version processor need 125 Watt, smaller than the old version, 140 Watt.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9500
Now, actually there are new i5 Intel processor, but this old processor also still great choice for overclocking. Although there are many overclockers that prefer Phenom X4 series, but in some condition Core 2 Quad show the much better performances.
This processor is not unlocked multiplier version, not like AMD Black Edition Family, but it still very potential to overclock and reach a fantastic results.
